The sun beat down heavily as his feet drug across the desert wasteland. The scorching warmth seemed to come from all over, starting at the bottom of his feet with every step into the fire-like-sand, up his body with with sores and aches to the top of his head, burned and peeling from the last several days of travel in this arid waste. The wind offered nothing but false hope and a reminder that this could be an accurate resemblance to the afterlife he was most likely to be acquainted with eventually, if he wasn't there already. His walk continued arduously, step by step until his legs gave out, crashing him to the soft burning ground. He felt fazed, dozing in and out knowing this will all start over again tomorrow until it was done.
