Arcane Inscription

Spell Access Level: Cantrip
Mana Cost: 0
Potion / Rune / Scroll / Wand: No / No / No / No
Cast Time: 1 Swift Action
Range: Close
Duration: Concentration

By concentrating on a single writing utensil or brush the caster can inscribe parchment or any other surface that can be written on at range as the utensil lifts into the air and writes anything desired in any known language by the caster. This can also be used to create runes, scrolls, spell books, magic seals, paintings, drawings, maps, charts, tomes, journals, records, and more.
Needles can also be controlled to make tattoos and spray cans can be controlled to make graffiti on walls. If no writing utensil is available, the caster can instead char the surface to do so in a black imprinted or burned pattern as it magically is inscribed on the surface. If this is done on skin, it stings the creature but does no damage. Harder surfaces such as metal are engraved as if carved into. The burned inscriptions are permanent until Nullified.
The writing utensil can float in the air while writing along with a single work that is being written on but must weight less than 1 pound total such as parchment, maps or charts, small journals or books, or a chalk board. Both the utensil and the piece being written on follow the caster so long they maintain concentration allowing them to keep their hands free.
