The caster attunes themselves to the magnetic poles of the planet they are on and can discern which direction the closest planetary pole is from their location. If the caster is in space, this detects the closest, large magnetic or gravitational force such as a planet’s magnetic or gravitational field. This manifests itself in the form of an extremely strong urge or desire to go in a specific direction regardless of which way they are pointing. If in a plane of existence or dimension that lacks either magnetic poles or gravity then the spell fails unless a deity or the dimension’s creator declares a “North” or significant direction in which case, the urge tends in this direction instead.
