The caster casts a spell into the time stream that doesn’t take effect until a later round as it is delayed. Whenever the caster casts the spell they either choose the area that will be affected or a target to be hit. If the spell is cast against a target then the Player makes the attack roll when the spell is first cast. If successful, then regardless of where the target moves to the spell will automatically hit when activated in the future. If it misses, then the MC is still used but it fails when activated in the future. If an area of effect spell then only the conditions for the spell must be met.
Whenever the spell is first cast the MC must be spent first. After the chosen amount of rounds pass after casting the spell then the spell is cast and hits its intended targets even if the caster has died since casting the spell. If the chosen target is dead then the spell still hits it even if nothing happens. If the chosen target’s body no longer exists either in the same plane, dimension, universe, or at all then the spell goes off in the last location they were at in the universe the spell was cast. The spell cannot be altered, changed, or canceled once cast by the caster and only a miracle or Wish can prevent it from going off.
The amount of MC required depends on the amount of MC required in the spell being cast plus 1 MC per round (or 5 seconds) into the future the spell is being cast. The MC is spent first then the selected target is attacked and if successful then the spell hits them and all effects are applied after the selected amount of rounds have passed otherwise, the spell automatically fails.
