Kongian

Kongians are a race of humanoids that resemble apes. They claim to be descended of a mythical being known as the Monkey King and as a result have high opinions of themselves believing their blood possess the blood of a deity. The Monkey King is also their patron deity and they live their lives trying to follow his example and become the best they can be physically. Their tribes are built in forests on mountains where they live simple, monk-like lives and train to be fighters. Many kongians go on a spirit journey and travel the world just as the Monkey King did before retiring either back at their home tribe or in a new place of seclusion to seek enlightenment.
